LIBF issue new guidelines for re-certification for CDCS and/or CSDG

04/11/2016

The London Institute of Banking & Finance (formerly IFS University College) has recently issued a new recertification process guide for those holding the CDCS® and/or CSDG® certification.

The main changes include:

- Re-certification still needs to occur every 3 years, except where individuals have successfully completed 5 re-certifications. These will be automatically awarded the designation of CDCS® advocate (CDCS® Adv) and the re-certification period will be extended to every 6 years. Over time, reference to PDU's will be replaced with CPD learning hours.

- Up until 31 October 2019, 24 CPD Learning Hours/PDU's are required to recertify. The restriction on the number of hours/PDU's that can be earned in any one year has been withdrawn. However, for those recertifying on or after 30 April 2020, 36 CPD Learning Hours/PDU's will be required to recertify.

- Recertification is still subject to payment of the respective fee.

A copy of the new guide may be accessed here LIBF Recertification Guide .pdf

Completion of the www.tradefinance.training modules will not only considerably enhance your knowledge of the respective subject matter, but is an extremely cost effective way of achieving the CPD Learning Hours/PDU's for recertification for CDCS® and/or CSDG®.
